About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Vendor Management Senior Lead to support one of the complex Technology pillars within Chief Operating Office Technology (COO Tech). This role will support and assist in developing the strategy for vendor management across COO Tech. This role plays a critical part in determining optimal staffing solutions and driving strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various internal and external partners to ensure effective execution and management of the vendor process for COO Technology.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a Vendor Management advisor to leadership to drive vendor initiatives throughout the contract life cycle, and develop and implement key delivery status updates to main stakeholders and senior management
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to vendor management that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of vendor/contract life cycle, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large-scale solutions
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant vendor solutions that are large scale and cross organizational
- Oversee planning and execution of bid projects, aligning a broad group of stakeholders that are involved in various vendor agreements, managing expectations and communicating progress clearly manage timelines, budgets, forecasting, resources, and reporting
- Proactively identify risks (e.g. resources shortages or contract structure failures) & develop mitigation strategies and resolve issues swiftly
- Lead team meetings to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans
- Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership
- Provide direction to a cross functional team using vendor/sourcing expertise
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced staff within the group.

- 7+ years of Information Technology in support of Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following work experience, training, military experience, education
- 7+ years of vendor management - Proven ability to build, maintain, and optimize vendor relationships to support business objectives.
- 7+ years of process improvement - Demonstrated success in identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions that enhance operational performance.
- 5+ years of status reporting - Skilled in delivering clear, concise, and actionable updates to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Previous financial industry and/or consulting experience
- Financial/Annual planning
- Previous experience supporting internal Wells Fargo clients/vendors
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Extremely detailed oriented
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability when managing high-demand or difficult clients, ensuring expectations are met while maintaining strong working relationships

Salary range:
$139,000-$217,000

Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
