About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Business Accountability Specialist. This Executive Director will act as a senior individual contributor within the Technology Resiliency, Risk, & Regulatory Execution team. There, you'll lead strategic transformation efforts, support executive-level coordination, and drive implementation of the business services framework in partnership with the division head.

This position will allow you to provide high-impact delivery with chief of staff-style responsibilities, requiring deep expertise in risk, resiliency, and regulatory execution.

Provide Transformational Leadership

  • Lead and execute cross-functional transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and resiliency across Technology
  • Identify and resolve structural and procedural gaps in business accountability and control execution
Act as Chief of Staff
  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, managing executive priorities, communications, and governance routines
  • Coordinate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of enterprise-wide initiative
Drive Risk & Regulatory Execution
  • Drive execution of regulatory commitments, audit responses, and issue management processes
  • Develop and refine self-assurance and control frameworks to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
Support the Business Services Framework
  • Collaborate with transformation leaders to implement and evolve the business services framework
  • Support centralization and standardization of business accountability practices across Technology
Act as Strategic Influencer
  • Represent team during enterprise forums and working groups, influencing direction and outcomes without direct people management
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise in resiliency, risk, and regulatory domains
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience working with regulatory bodies and managing enterprise-level audits or exams
  • 5+ years of experience in risk, resiliency, regulatory execution, or business accountability roles
  • 5+ years of experience using proven ability to lead transformation efforts and drive strategic outcomes in complex environments
  • 5+ years of experience influencing across senior levels using strong executive presence
  • 3+ years of PowerPoint or executive presentation development experience with the ability to demonstrate clear and consistent story telling across all stakeholders
Desired Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with Wells Fargo's governance and control infrastructure
  • Experience with business services frameworks and centralization efforts
  • Ability to operate independently while driving enterprise-level impact

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
