System Reliability Engineer - Platform Engineering

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support Run-the-Bank initiatives for Interactive Voice Response and Routing (Enterprise Dialer Function) under the Technology Operations and Platform Services Organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions
  • Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
  • Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
  • Design complex system upgrades
  • Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
  • Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • 4+ years of experience in a SRE or DevOps role, preferably in a hybrid infrastructure & cloud environment
  • 3+ years of recent development experience in .NET and Java programming languages, combined with Database experience in SQL Server and Oracle
  • 2+ years of Shell Scripting experience in one or more of the following: PowerShell, Bash, Korn Shell (ksh), Perl, or Python
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with IP/Telephony, Voice Engineering
  • Recent development experience in Java Spring
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Technical Expertise with one or more of the following:
    • Automation: Ansible, Python, Java, Shell, PowerShell
    • Observability: Elastic Search, Kibana, Kafka, AppDynamics, Splunk
    • OS and Platform: Windows, Linux, Kubernetes, GCP, Azure, PCF
  • Familiarity with large scale distributed systems and high-availability architectures
  • Experience in Agile development lifecycle
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated person with the ability to learn new technologies hands on an on-going basis
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in matrixed organization
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work on-site at approved location at least three days a week
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
California Pay Range: $100,800 - $179,200

Actual salary is determined by location, experience, and qualifications of the job
