Senior Software Engineer (Human Resources Learning Technology)
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Human Resources Learning Technology) in Technology as part of the Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group. EFT provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.
Within EFT, the Human Resource Information Technology (HRIT) team provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes, including payroll, benefits, learning, and recruiting. We are seeking someone who will be part of HRIT in support of Learning and Development related applications.
In this role, you will:
- Act as an internal consultant within technology and HR business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes
- Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables
- Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within both internal and vendor managed environments in support of enterprise-wide Human Resources Solutions
- Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements
- Design, test, and document for projects and programs associated with Human Resources technology domain, including installation, upgrade, and decommission of solutions
- Evaluate moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of planning and direction conducted to resolve complex business problems
- Resolve moderately complex issues to meet existing enterprise needs or potential new needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of systems analysis experience, capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
- 1+ year of experience with Agile
- Knowledge of and experience with learning technology
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, and information security
- Experience supporting both on premise and vendor hosted (SaaS) applications
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Jira
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Advanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience facilitating meetings with participants at various levels of experience in different lines of business
- Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, product owners, vendors, and project managers
- 1 + years of experience working with vendor software, technologies and tools that are enterprise solutions
