Senior Software Engineer

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing our Payment Operations technology landscape. This is more than a development role-it's an opportunity to shape mission-critical systems that support Wires Operations and Payment Investigations, a cornerstone of our global payments infrastructure. From ACH (Automated Clearing House) and Instant Payments to Lockbox and ISO 20022 (International Organization for Standardization) modernization, our Payment Services Operations are at the forefront of innovation and transformation. As part of this team, you'll collaborate with top-tier engineers, risk and compliance experts, and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that impact millions of transactions daily. In this role, you will:
- Document test cases and risk research and create test plans
- Record test progress and results
- Identify and track issues throughout testing
- Perform manual and automated testing,
- Consult with users providing advice and direction
- Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
- Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
- Research system features being tested
- Partner with Engineers to develop testing strategy
- Log, track and verify resolution of software and specification defects
- Understand and ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced staff
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or similar frameworks
- 2+ Years working in an Agile Scrum team
- 2+ hands on usage of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tooling (Jenkins and uDeploy for example)
- 2+ years of experience with Java
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
