About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead and optimize cross-functional teams in delivering business-critical capabilities. This role requires a strong command of Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a focus on enhancing team performance, ensuring compliance with SDLC and governance standards, and coordinating seamless software releases.
In this role, you will:
- Facilitate the scrum process with cross functional impact that involve moderately complex projects, non-projects, or maintenance work
- Guide the scrum teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to actively promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
- Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
- Deliver capabilities using agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met
- Partner with discipline managers about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards
- Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams
- Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the team and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Oversees the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases, ensuring smooth and efficient deployments with minimal disruption to operations
- Act as a central point of contact for all release-related activities, working with development and product teams managing risks, tracking progress, and ensuring releases meet quality standard
- 4+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master (CSM/PSM)
- Agile Coaching & Leadership: Proven ability to coach teams and individuals in Agile practices, lead Agile maturity assessments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Scaled Agile Experience: Familiarity with frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus to support Agile at scale.
- Metrics-Driven Delivery: Skilled in tracking and reporting Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts, release progress) to drive transparency and performance.
- Risk & Quality Management: Experience identifying and mitigating delivery risks while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Product Collaboration: Strong partnership with Product Owners to manage backlogs, refine user stories, and align delivery with business priorities.
- Mentorship & Team Development: Ability to mentor junior Scrum Masters and team members, contributing to Agile capability building across the organization.
- SAFe Certified Scrum Master (SSM).
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$100,000.00 - $163,000.00
