About this role:
This newly created role will assist in the design and development of advocacy efforts that support Wells Fargo's public policy positions across diverse issue areas. The position will monitor legislative and regulatory activities, prepare briefing materials, coordinate with internal teams, and support engagement with external stakeholders such as policymakers and industry groups. This position will sit at 1700 K Street, NW in Washington, DC and offers a hybrid work schedule. The Wells Fargo job profile is Senior Government Relations Specialist.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze and track legislative and regulatory activity to identify key issue areas and developments that may impact public policy priorities
- Prepare briefing materials for senior leaders and other stakeholders to support advocacy efforts, including summaries, talking points, and background documents
- Support engagement with external stakeholders, including policymakers, trade associations, industry groups, and others, to advance the company's policy objectives
- Coordinate with cross-functional work groups to ensure alignment across lines of business on public policy initiatives
- Organize and maintain documentation of policy developments, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy-related activities
- 4+ years of Government Relations, Public Affairs or Legal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Experience analyzing legislative and regulatory activities that impact public policy priorities
- Experience preparing briefing materials to support advocacy efforts
- Experience engaging with federal government entities, and regulatory agencies
- Experience providing support to senior leaders on high profile, public policy issues
- Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
- Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and influences decision makers

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,000.00 - $196,000.00
