About this role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the COO Change Delivery organization, leading change initiatives that impact employees and customers across multiple business partner groups. This role will support strategic deliverables for Corporate & Investment Banking Operations portfolio, focusing on planning, cross divisional collaboration, risk management, people impact of change, ensuring adoption through structured business readiness activities leveraging risk management disciplines and executive reporting. Responsibilities include supporting product and program delivery efforts, often tied to application support, and driving change initiatives that affect Wholesale Operations within Global Operations to achieve a variety of business objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead large-scale regulatory and business-driven initiatives through full project lifecycle within change management frameworks.
  • Drive business readiness and adoption for initiatives impacting employees and customers.
  • Manage project dependencies, milestones, and interdependencies to ensure timely delivery and policy alignment.
  • Oversee full-cycle RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and guide timeline execution.
  • Develop and manage project financials and task planning strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SMEs, sponsors, stakeholders, compliance, risk, and business partners.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and integration of new technologies into infrastructure.
  • Conduct impact assessments and develop implementation readiness and communication strategies.
  • Resolve resource needs and manage financials, dependencies, and escalation strategies.
  • Navigate ambiguity and lead matrixed teams across multiple project managers and support resources.
Strategic & Regional Execution:
  • Manage strategic and tactical execution of change initiatives across Americas/EMEA/APAC, aligned with governance structures and enterprise policies.
  • Define product, operating model, and infrastructure changes with impacted parties and integrate into delivery roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans that consolidate individual workstreams, enabling visibility for sponsors and stakeholders
  • Partner with CIB and International COO teams on regionally driven change portfolios.
  • Ensure sustainability and effective embedding of changes into business-as-usual operations.
Analytical & Governance Expertise:
  • Conduct preliminary analysis to determine optimal solutions via feasibility studies and trade-off analysis.
  • Support use case development and defect analysis with end-users and testers.
  • Monitor and guide change initiatives to align with regional strategy and support prioritization decisions.
  • Analyze complex regulations across jurisdictions and communicate implications to non-technical audiences.
  • Provide business and region-specific impact analysis for new initiatives, policies, and processes.
  • Assist in business case development and benefits management with constructive challenge and subject matter expertise.
Change Management and Readiness:
  • Lead end-to-end execution of change initiatives across people, processes, and technology using the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) lifecycle.
  • Conduct business impact assessments and coordinate implementation and testing with product managers, sponsors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive business readiness strategies including access provisioning, procedure updates, training, and communications to support seamless adoption.
  • Engage key stakeholders (e.g., BCM, ORBO, Compliance, Audit, Legal) and collaborate with LOB teams to deliver tailored communication, training and readiness plans.
  • Apply change risk management practices to assess materiality, impacts, dependencies, and cross-business risks.
  • Facilitate readiness calls, governance forums, and tollgate reviews to track progress, resolve issues, and secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Monitor change delivery outcomes, escalate risks, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities and audit readiness.
Leadership & Communication:
  • Engage stakeholders effectively and support communication planning for change delivery.
  • Foster an inclusive team environment with coaching and feedback for development.
  • Present at regional operating committees, steering committees, and lead workshops.
  • Utilize JIRA and Confluence as core tools in change management processes
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in a Change Management delivery role focusing on Human Impacts of changes to Customers and / or employees
  • Manages complex change initiatives, applying deep subject matter expertise in implementing change, change metrics and managing risks to recognize change benefits
  • Experience working with teams of business and technology subject matter experts on delivering and managing change in a product model
  • Experience plus working knowledge of Confluence and Jira to track and manage user stories and backlogs
  • Experience working with Agile Methodology and tools
  • Experience managing Project and Program Risks, Impediments/Issues, Dependencies - raising, documenting and following up to keep efforts on track
  • Experience coordinating meetings and deliverables between all stakeholders to maintain weekly performance and ensure projects are on target
  • Project, timeline, and process analysis to uncover bottlenecks and improvement areas
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and leading enterprise-wide projects
  • Ability to drive results and influence change across all levels of the organization
  • Experience facilitating meeting and driving outcomes
