About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Process Engineer. This role is part of Human Resources Transformation and Products Team and supports all HR Service functions in driving operational excellence for HR. This role supports HR's Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program by organizing, leading and facilitating the development of RCSA Service Models to inform identification and assessment of risks, controls, and MCRs as part of the Annual Refresh cycle. It ensures that the RCSA Service Model is updated, as needed, to reflect changes in the RAU's current operating environment. The team is highly collaborative and supports career development through skills advancement and exposure to on-the-job learning experiences.

In this role, you will:

  • Organize, lead and facilitate the review and refinement of HR Service Models during the RCSA Annual Refresh effort and on an ad hoc basis when business environment changes (BECs) occur
  • Collaborate with HR's Risk Accessible Unit (RAU) Owners, Control Partners, IRM partners (ORBO, BACO) and others to assess the business environment and execute model changes to ensure that model reflects the current operating environment
  • Conduct Quality Control to ensure that deliverables adhere to enterprise policy and standards; mitigate defects in a timely manner to advance deliverables to production environment
  • Manage the Service Modeling process to ensure delivery of high-quality artifacts to complete required program tollgates (e.g., affirmation, model publication in the SOR (iGrafx)) per policy requirements.
  • Consult with key stakeholders in Service Model review to risk and control discussions
  • Consult with team to understand, influence, adapt research, and create alternatives for consideration, drive results, and bring issues to resolution
  • Credibly challenge ideas, make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Interact and educate HR RAU Owners, Process Owners, Control partners, HR Process Support partners and others on the Annual Refresh process, requirements and best practices to drive operational excellence
  • May provide ad hoc support of process meta data collection, internal projects, or HR process improvement efforts that seek to improve process efficiency, effectiveness or customer experience.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
  • Experience in facilitation and development of RCSA Service Models in compliance with enterprise business process management (BPM) standards
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certified
  • Experience in applying Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement capabilities to achieve business goals
  • Domain expertise (e.g., Human Resources, Risk and Control Management)
  • Skilled in the use of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Skilled in the use of BPM Enabled Self-Service Information Extract (BESSIE) data capture tool
  • Adaptable and progressive learner with the ability to think strategically and explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver relevant information to business partners and senior leaders in a way that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, recognizing the significance of competing priorities
  • Experience in Design Thinking and/or Human Centered Design (HCD)
  • Change Management skills such as Prosci/ADKAR, PMP, CAPM or Agile
  • Excellent business communication, storytelling, PowerPoint presentations and MS Excel skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams) skills
Job Expectations:
  • Should be at least a Process Engineer or equivalent with experience in doing and implementing process improvements.
  • Have a strong understanding Six Sigma and Lean methodology and a proven track record of successful implementation. Black Belt certification or process experience required.
  • Ability to work with senior leaders presenting and advising is critical. Strong relationship building skills.
