About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Regulatory Relations Specialist to join our Internal Audit Regulatory Relations team. This team leads regulatory engagement for Internal Audit, develops a holistic view of regulatory activities and themes, and ensures proactive regulatory issue management. This role will specifically support Enterprise Functions and the Enterprise Technology Audit Group, playing a critical role in managing regulatory interactions and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.

In this role, you will:

  • Regulatory Engagement Strategy: Lead cross-functional initiatives to establish and maintain the strategy, governance, and procedures for managing regulatory engagements within Internal Audit.
  • Regulatory Exams Management: Oversee Internal Audit's involvement in regulatory exams related to Enterprise Functions (Finance, HR, Public Affairs, Data) and Enterprise Technology. Manage exam schedules, meetings, and information requests.
  • Executive Liaison for Supervisory Meetings: Coordinate and lead regulatory meetings for Chief Audit Directors, including agenda development, material preparation, and follow-up tracking.
  • Supervisory Meeting Oversight: Manage day-to-day regulatory meetings, including scheduling, documentation, attendee coordination, and follow-up actions.
  • Confidential Supervisory Information (CSI) Compliance: Support execution of the CSI program to ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements, including controls to prevent unauthorized disclosure.
  • Program Management & Administration: Contribute to the development of policies, training, reporting, and governance processes. Drive automation and data analytics opportunities within the regulatory relations portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Wells Fargo's Regulatory Relations and Legal teams to ensure consistent and compliant regulatory engagement.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Manage projects across geographies, mentor team members, and delegate work effectively.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 7+ years of Regulatory Relations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations from the Federal Reserve Board, Office of Comptroller of Currency, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and regulatory engagements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior executives and regulators.
  • Capable of initiating action and possess strong vision, execution and relationship management skills across the organization, as well as with the regulators.
  • Familiarity with CSI protocols and enterprise compliance standards.
  • Experience with automation and data analytics tools is a plus
  • Experience supporting Enterprise Functions (Finance, Human Resource, Public Affairs, Data) and/or Technology Audit groups.
  • Prior experience in a regulatory liaison or exam management role at a large financial institution
  • Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) preferred
  • Understanding of the regulatory agencies responsible for supervision over large banks including their operating structure, processes, approach to developing supervisory plans, exam schedule and coordination with local exam teams
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Deep understanding of ever-evolving governance processes and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $305,000.00
