Senior Lead Product Manager for Commercial Client Profitability Tools

About This Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Product Manager. This is a high-impact role with visibility across senior leadership and influence over key financial systems. You will own the product vision and roadmap for a platform that integrates financial performance with client and product data to support pricing, coverage, and profitability strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in financial metrics, data and analytics, a strong understanding of commercial, corporate, and investment banking products, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, controlled environment.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Advise senior leadership on business plans, product strategy, and implementation approaches for complex financial and technical needs.
  • Lead product management for a highly technical and data-intensive platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial metrics.
  • Drive strategic solutions that are scalable, long-term, and responsive to business dynamics.
  • Define and communicate product vision, scope, and priorities; manage the product backlog and ensure delivery of high-value features.
  • Collaborate across functions, including Finance, Risk, Technology, and Analytics teams, to gather and refine requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Champion data quality and usability, leveraging data profiling and analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Lead agile ceremonies and ensure continuous delivery of value through iterative development.
  • Enhance existing applications based on user feedback, business needs, and performance insights.
  • Document and communicate product features, workflows, and decisions clearly and effectively.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery, or agile product ownership-or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military service, or education.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Profitability or Pricing applications in a financial context.
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, including deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and profitability metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and Excel for data analysis and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for building dashboards and visual reports.
  • Strong critical thinking and change management skills.
  • Strong understanding of data profiling and data quality.
  • Experience presenting financials and insights to senior leadership.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working with global delivery teams across time zones and cultures.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a data-driven profitability metrics focused environment.
  • Strong background in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Experience in Commercial Banking and Corporate & Investment Banking.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex problems and drive them to resolution.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and evolving business needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current on financial, regulatory, and technology trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build consensus across diverse teams.
