About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer to join the WIM-wide governance and key compliance initiatives team in the Control Management organization.
In this role, you will:
Governance: engages, influences, and leads across WIM businesses and activities to ensure a control lens is applied consistently and holistically to current and emerging risks.
- Committee Support - Support secretarial functions for various Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) governance, risk, and other committees and councils by managing logistics and documentation.
- Governance Routine Management - Help establish and maintain governance routines including committee charters, meeting materials, minutes, escalation protocols, calendars, and approval workflows.
- Policy Adherence Oversight - Guide compliance with enterprise and line of business policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistent governance practices.
- Executive Guidance - Provide strategic support to business leaders, IRM, and control executives in setting agendas, preparing materials, and tracking follow-up actions for committee and council meetings.
- Risk Theme Coordination - Collaborate with control officers, risk, compliance, and legal teams to identify and ensure discussion of key risk themes and topics in relevant committees, escalating issues when necessary.
- Committee Liaison - Act as a primary contact for senior leaders, committee members, and content providers regarding presentation standards, committee processes, and governance requirements.
- Meeting Facilitation - Lead and participate in preparatory meetings with stakeholders and senior leaders to review agendas, materials, and address outstanding or ad-hoc requests.
- Post-Meeting Communication - Communicate follow-up actions, feedback on materials, and other relevant updates to all impacted committee participants and content contributors

- Initiative Leadership - Partner with team leadership to drive enterprise and line of business initiatives that require significant risk and control input across Wealth & Investment Management (WIM).
- Compliance Alignment - Ensure compliance initiatives are effectively integrated with WIM's risk frameworks, operational practices, and strategic goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with diverse functions-including operations, compliance, legal, audit, and control teams-across the enterprise and at varying levels of seniority to support governance and risk efforts
- Experience in Risk Management or Financial Services industry, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Governance Forum Experience - Demonstrated experience participating in or supporting governance forums, including committee operations and decision-making processes.
- Financial Services Knowledge - Strong understanding of the financial services industry, its products, and the regulatory landscape; experience in risk, compliance, or legal functions is a plus.
- Enterprise Risk Framework Familiarity - Working knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks such as Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), issue management, and risk metric tracking.
- Senior Leader Communication - Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders across business lines and control functions.
- Influential Leadership - Ability to influence key partners and leaders, lead meetings confidently, and contribute meaningfully to fast-paced and complex discussions.
- Strong Communication Skills - Excellent listening and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, understandable points in both written and verbal formats.
- Initiative Management - Capable of managing and occasionally leading initiatives, including detailed planning, process oversight, and documentation.
- Team-Oriented Mindset - A collaborative team player who promotes a "speak-up" culture, adapts well to change, and thrives in dynamic environments.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$159,000.00 - $254,000.00
