Senior Lead Analytics Consultant to join CIB Finance - Data Insights & Analytics - Deposits, Global Payments, and Liquidity

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a strategic thinking, creative problem solving and experienced Senior Lead Analytics Consultant with sharp technical skills to join the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Finance - Data Insights & Analytics (DIA) team.

The primary responsibility of the role is to maintain, enhance, and build new analytical solutions for managing the commercial deposits portfolio (~$400B) and Global Payments and Liquidity (GPL) function.

This role has high visibility across global senior stakeholders within CIB, Commercial Banking (CB), and GPL. The role will be supported by a global team with diverse skillsets. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in automation, business intelligence, and cloud migration experience, with prior financial services experience and a strong understanding of commercial, corporate, and investment banking business products and services.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the enhancement and ongoing support of the commercial deposits reporting platform, delivering actionable insights on portfolio and customer activity.
  • Collaborate closely with Deposits Strategy, GPL business, and Finance partners to understand and anticipate both immediate and long-term business needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear, technical specifications for effective solution delivery.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to advance the commercial deposits and GPL analytics platform, driving improvements in Tableau, Power BI, and Excel reporting.
  • Design and build intuitive dashboards and reports, surfacing insights in formats tailored for senior stakeholders.
  • Proactively adjust metrics and reporting content to reflect strategic initiatives and market trends, such as interest rate changes or portfolio pricing optimization.
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring requirements are tracked, backlogs are prioritized, and cross-functional teams are aligned for successful outcomes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to support new business requests and strategic projects.
  • Ensure robust data quality and resiliency in all reporting deliverables, maintaining high standards for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business and technology partners across regions and time zones.
  • Provide analytical support to the broader CIB Data Insights & Analytics team as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, interns, and external contractors, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Embrace innovation in reporting, including the use of AI agents and chatbots, and demonstrate a genuine curiosity for data and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Analytics, Reporting, Financial Modeling or Statistics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with 7+ years of scripting/coding experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on business intelligence development using Tableau, Power BI, Oracle BI, or Python, including at least 3 years of daily Tableau experience.
  • Proven track record of thought leadership in developing analytical and reporting solutions within complex business environments.
  • Experience with database tools such as Dremio, TOAD, SQL Server Management Studio, Business Intelligence Development Studio, and Oracle.
  • Prior analytics and reporting experience in deposits, payments, and liquidity products.
  • Background in Corporate and Investment Banking or management consulting.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated success working with diverse stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot) to enhance productivity.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Ownership mentality-comfortable tackling complex problems and driving them to resolution.
  • Adaptability to ambiguous requirements and evolving business needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with financial, regulatory, and technology trends.
  • Ability to influence without authority and build consensus across diverse teams.
Job Expectations:
  • Flexibility to support occasional weekend or evening work as needed.
  • Work in office/hybrid schedule.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$139,000.00 - $260,000.00
