About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Analyst to join our Macro group on the Quantitative Risk Solutions Team. The role is primarily focused on the marketing and execution of Foreign Exchange (FX) and interest rate derivative products, specifically in support of the risk management needs of Wells Fargo's Corporate client base.

In this role, you will:

  • Backtest quantitative strategies with delta-one derivatives (forwards and swaps) as well as option-based derivatives
  • Construct value-at-risk analyses for portfolios of risk exposures
  • Create pitch books
  • Generate derivative ideas
  • Understand basic FX and/or Rates derivatives products with a willingness to expand their knowledge to additional risk management products in the future
  • Support Senior Sales team members and their client base, as well as with other CIB coverage partners including Corporate Banking, DCM, Leveraged Finance and Investment Banking to cohesively market the bank's product offering
  • Collaborate seamlessly across the platform
  • Focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with helping to foster a strong risk-mitigating and compliance-driven culture
  • Participate in buying and selling securities on behalf of the clients
  • Determine appropriate course of action by researching product information, and process complex or corrective transactions
  • Review basic or tactical issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to low-to-medium risk tasks and deliverables
  • Receive direction from a manager
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • 6+ months of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a STEM field or financial engineering a plus
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principals a plus
  • Exposures to coding or scripting a plus
  • CFA (completed or in progress) a plus
Job Expectations:
  • This position is subject to Dodd-Frank Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background screen. Applicants are subject to a new screen to comply with Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act which states that Associated Persons (AP) cannot be subject to statutory disqualification. Under industry regulations, an AP is defined as a team member who solicits or accepts client orders for swaps. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$100,800.00 - $179,200.00
