About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management Senior Manager as part of Market Coverage in the Commercial Bank. This role will lead a team responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management activities of Mid-Corporate sized companies across a variety of industry segments. In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of credit professionals within the Mid Corporate Portfolio Management functional area with a focus on delivering moderately to highly complex credit and risk products or services to Mid Corporate clients, stakeholders and internal partners associated with the function
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Mid Corporate Portfolio Management functional area
  • Lead Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management teams by making strategic decisions to resolve issues regarding resources, objectives, and operations to meet deliverables
  • Provide leadership support, resource management, and tools to appropriately adhere to a range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to high complexity across a large, diversified portfolio
  • Collaborate with and influence Mid Corporate Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers, as well as interact directly with external customers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

  • 8+ years of Mid-Corporate Portfolio Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Material knowledge and experience with Mid-Corporate sized companies across a variety of industry segments and to corporations with complex credit executions related to acquisition financing and bridge underwriting
  • Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
  • Experience originating, structuring, and executing bank lending transactions, other credit related products, for critical or complex clients
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of negotiating: interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements for leveraged transactions
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services
  • Fundamental understanding of various capital markets (e.g. bonds, TLB, private credit, etc.) a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Experience in swiftly adopting and executing change management to enable business growth
  • Experience developing and maintaining external and internal partnerships
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
