Job Role and Responsibility:
Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact. Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines. Design, analyze, test, debug, and document for projects and programs. Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors. Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. Collaborate and consult with key technical experts and senior technology team to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week. Position must appear in person to the location listed as the work address.

Required Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, or related technical field. Wells Fargo will accept a 3 year or 4 year degree as qualifying for the role and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving application development and implementation experience.

Specific skills required:
- Experience in implementing Data Warehousing and data lake solutions using ETL tools using pyspark custom built frameworks, and reporting tools like power BI, Dremio, and SSAS.
- Analytical acumen and ability to define hypothesis & assumptions, lay out data requirement, gather, and analyze data and apply the business (Assets, Liabilities, Funds transfer pricing, revenue, cost, margin, etc.) levers to derive insights and refine strategies.
- identifying areas for opportunities and growth within each initiative leveraging analytical thinking & rigor to ensure that it correlates back to the overall strategy of the broader enterprise.
- Experience working in Large Banks/ Financial Services to translate business problems into actionable insights, with demonstratable experience of delivering strategic insights and recommendations.
- Experience in data analysis, data extraction/manipulation and loading routines using SQL, Teradata, database structures and data warehouses.
- Extensive experience in designing of ETL strategies and preparing mapping specifications.
- Data modeling, database design and data lake architecture including T-SQL queries.
- Good in SQL, Python, PySpark, Power BI for data analysis and usage of libraries.
