About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic Lead Software Engineer to join the Enterprise Application & Cloud Transformation team to realize a world class, next-gen Contact Center as a Service solution for the firm, creating an innovative and efficient customer and agent experience.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
- Act as a key contributor in automating the provisioning of Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as a Code.
- Make decisions in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions. Design, Optimization and Documentation of the Engineering aspects of the Cloud platform.
- Understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
- Build and Enable cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration of the entire Azure/GCP Cloud Platforms for Wells Fargo Enterprise.
- Working in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions.
- Closely working with Product Team and Vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectations.
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience with JAVA, Spring Boot, Kafka, Oracle Coherence, Distributed Caches (GemFire, Redis), Elastic Search technologies, GraphQL, and NoSQL Databases (Cassandra or Mongo), Graph Databases, Public Cloud Marketplace services
- 3+ years of Contact Center industry experience with design, development, testing, integration with vendors, CRMs and business applications.
- 3+ years of contact center sub domains such as: IVR/IVA, NLU/NLP, Routing, Recording and Analytics including Transcription, Outbound, Work force Management or Optimization, Historical Reporting & Analytics, Real Time Omni channel Agent experience and customer journey, CX/AX experience optimization using AI/ML
- 3+ years of real time low latency, front-end Web applications such as React, Redux, RXJS, Typescript, progressive Web Apps with responsive design with Rest APIs, real time eventing gRPC or Web Sockets using Micro front end architecture.
- 3+ years working with GCP or alternate public/hybrid cloud
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with TrueCD, DevOps with Cucumber, Jenkins
- Deep Domain Driven Design experience with cloud native Microservices designed and developed for massive scale and seamless resiliency, deployed on PCF/VMWare Tanzu, K8s or Serverless cloud technologies.
- Sound knowledge on automated testing frameworks for Unit testing for Java/Python and UI Micro services, Service Virtualization and Contract Testing, API Testing with Blazemeter/JMeter, WebRTC signaling and audio testing including audio quality, performance stress and load tests, and chaos resiliency automated testing for full stack, lower environment data conditioning and testing.
- System level testing through code (unit-level testing) and experience identifying and developing automation frameworks and synthetic tests for policy validation.
- Experience working in Agile environment and product backlog refinement against ongoing engineering work, Agile at scale, conducting discoveries and process improvements to accelerate software development.
- Expert and champion on NFR aspects for mission critical solutions at scale and leading the software development teams and instrumenting backlogs with shift left practices.
- Scripting and infrastructure automation, including Python/Go, Shell, Gherkin, PowerShell etc.
- Enterprise Change Management and change control, experience working within procedural and process driven environment to create and maintain a strong risk and control posture.
- Proven experience of accelerated integration through cookbooks and blueprints, across vendors as well as enterprise CRM and ecosystems through design by contract and de-risking approaches with shift left.
- Must have professional cloud certification on Azure/GCP or other cloud provider.
- Ability to rationalize risk controls into policy outcomes.
- Good understanding of GCP or Public Cloud or AI Governance approach and solutions.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tool Terraform and GitHub, understanding of concepts and familiarity working within modern IaC/EaC pipelines.
- Good understanding of Network Security Experience and Enterprise Architecture and OWASP Security practices exemplified through previous projects.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure.
- Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise Agile environment.
- Proficient and have a thorough understanding of GCP Platform knowledge.
- Proficient and have a thorough understanding of Security best practices.
- Good understanding of Network infrastructure knowledge and experience.
- Good understanding of Monitoring and logging across multiple discrete platforms.
