About this Role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer for the COO Non-Operations Control Horizontal BCM team. This role will work with all COO Non-Ops LOB Control teams and businesses and is a dynamic role that will enable our partners to meet and exceed key risk program metrics.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Communicate - Assist in executing initiatives by effectively communicating relevant information and outcomes to all levels of the Control Management organization, key Business Group stakeholders, and Enterprise Function partners
  • Analytical Support - Lead support functions for complex and unique initiatives that require strong analytical skills, deep business knowledge, and advanced communication abilities, including proficiency in PowerPoint for impactful presentations and ability to consume shifting program requirements and apply to initiatives
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate and consult with team leaders to implement large-scale, cross-organizational business solutions that align with Control Management's strategic goals
  • Independent Quality Delivery - Produce high-quality work with minimal oversight, demonstrating reliability, attention to detail, and accountability in deliverables
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Risk Framework: Strong understanding of enterprise risk framework and methodologies, with experience in risk/control identification and assessment. Control Program Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with control programs, including Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), risk identification, inherent/residual risk assessment, control design, and Issue Management.
  • Data Visualization & AI Tools: Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, and Excel, with exposure to Generative AI tools for enhancing reporting and analysis. Storytelling with Data: Ability to translate metrics and reporting into compelling business narratives that support decision-making and align with organizational goals
  • Executive Engagement: Comfortable working directly with executives, senior leaders, and subject matter experts to drive strategic initiatives and deliver high-impact insights.
  • Analytical Precision: Exceptional analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Executive-Level Communication: Skilled in developing executive-ready materials and visuals, particularly PowerPoint presentations that simplify and clarify complex topics. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success partnering across diverse business units in a matrixed environment to develop and implement effective strategies.
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) days remote.
