Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Commercial Loan Closing Specialist as a part of the Wholesale Lending Operations Division.

In this role, you will:

  • Complete pre-close and post-close documents for the most complex commercial real estate loans
  • Coordinate loan closings, perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance
  • Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
  • Research complex business and operational decisions
  • Review and prepare loan related documents
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Provide guidance and training to peers and may have limited supervisory responsibilities
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of lease and loan products, including documentation, funding requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to accurately review and process complex financial documents.
  • Experience in deal closing operations, preferably in commercial lending, equipment finance, or leasing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Understanding of compliance and risk management practices related to lending and leasing operations.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
  • Team-oriented attitude, with a willingness to share knowledge and contribute to process improvements.

  • Hybrid work schedule three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
