About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Consultant to join our Wholesale Operations Data, Analytics and Reporting Team, specifically in support of Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) operations. This position entails using data analytic skills and methods to solve problems, create metrics and reports, perform analyses, provide feedback, and deliver insights to senior leaders to better run their business. This includes areas related but not limited to productivity, SLAs, capacity, and other operational performance metrics.
- Drive BI Initiatives and Planning - cross-functional complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large-scale planning for the Business Intelligence functional area that enable clear and consistent delivery of insights
- Analyze and Visualize Complex Data - Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, longer-term business and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of data aggregation and visualization methodology to drive user-centric diagnostic analytics and dashboards
- Translate Business Needs to Technical Specs - Capture and convert business requirements into technical intelligence specifications; oversee the delivery of data, analytics, and reporting solutions for WIM and Wholesale Operations in collaboration with DAR, Technology, and other internal stakeholders.
- Lead Operational Data Support - Make decisions in complex situations requiring solid understanding of data structures, domain-specific knowledge and the end user experience that impact the final data visualization product, which includes dashboards, reports, insights, or analyses
- Insight Generation - Develop impactful dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership, leveraging the latest data and analytics platforms to deliver next-day insights on SLAs, KPIs, and productivity metrics
- Design with Data and User Focus - Use strong knowledge of data structures, domain-specific expertise, and user experience principles to shape final data visualization products such as dashboards, reports, and analytical insights
- Lead Projects and Mentor Staff - Influence and lead a broader work team to deliver data and visual outputs and new initiatives to inform strategy and decision making by the company
- Promote Data-Driven Culture - Champion the adoption of insights and metrics across the organization to support a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Drive Change - Revise and modernize existing reports by migrating them from older technologies to current platforms with a focus on improving efficiency, automation, and scalability
- 5+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of advanced analytics experience, working in large-scale data environments with Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
- Proven track record of consulting with senior business leaders, leveraging deep analytical expertise to deliver actionable operational insights and drive strategic outcomes.
- Expertise in data preparation, blending, and automation using tools such as Alteryx, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
- Experience designing and deploying low-code applications using Power Apps to optimize and automate business processes.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and cloud-native analytics.
- Exceptional data storytelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into compelling, business-relevant narratives; operational analysis experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, including navigating and optimizing complex stored procedures, nested queries, and job-triggered processes.
- Demonstrated success in modernizing legacy reporting systems, improving performance, usability, and alignment with current business needs.
- Experience with agile work management tools, including Jira for sprint planning and Confluence for collaborative documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Knowledge & Experience of WIM LOB is preferred.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
