The GPL business brings together our treasury management and digital business solutions to provide payment solutions, cash and liquidity management and more to Wells Fargo's wholesale banking clients.
About GPL Senior Business Aligned Finance Analyst (AVP) role
The GPL Payments Senior Business Aligned Finance Analyst will work closely with the GPL Fee Products Lead, supporting management reporting, business analytics and financial guidance to ensure accurate and timely reporting and to help drive growth in the GPL Payments business, with a focus on Payables, Receivables, Working Capital, and Commercial Card fee products (Across Commercial Banking and Corporate and Investment Banking)
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with GPL business and other finance team members to deliver seamless integration of financial reporting and analytics to support business strategies and facilitate business decisions
- Create monthly financial performance reports for the GPL Payments business that compare results to forecast and budget and provide insightful commentary on variances
- Support budgeting and forecasting for the business by converting product and sales strategy into tangible goals for the business
- Create in-depth analyses to help support strategic management of the Payments business
- Assist in preparing executive-level materials for monthly business reviews as well as strategic planning and budget reviews
- Support Adhoc analyses and requests from across the CB and CIB line of business Finance teams, GPL Strategy, GPL Data and Analytics, GPL Product, GPL Sales, and other stakeholders
- 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3-5 yrs Finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Essbase
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed and fast paced environment
- Intellectually curious, and a self-starter
- Direct experience in financial analysis, reporting or accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data to develop strategic recommendations
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables
- Experience with PowerBI and/or client profitability systems is a plus
