Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director, Senior Lead Corporate Banking Relationship Manager as part of the Financial Institutions Corporate & Investment Banking team focused on coverage of Bank clients in the United States. This individual will be responsible for building, maintaining, and growing profitable relationships with Banks who are Corporate Banking clients with an asset size ranging between $20B and $150B.

This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a broad range of Banks clients and delivering the full platform of Wells Fargo's capabilities including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, M&A related Acquisition Finance, Treasury Management, Macro solutions, Global Receivables & Trade and Credit. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to develop internal and external relationships and have relevant corporate banking experience. Financial Institution/Banks sector experience is a plus.

In this role, you will:
  • Work as an advisor to more experienced leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for large corporate banking or specialized lending sector across Corporate Banking functions
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the company
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others
  • Develop, maintain and generate revenue from the most important and financially complex clients
  • Handle all aspects of client interaction, including directing and coordinating execution of transactions with key product partners
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale cross-functional or companywide strategies
  • Process larger syndicated transactions where Wells Fargo has a lead role and be active in providing financial advice, ideas and solutions to client base
  • Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong accounting skills and ability to analyze financial statements
  • Relationship management or client-facing experience
  • Credit underwriting experience highly desired
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Job Expectations:
  • Registration for FINRA exams including Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63 and Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date, if they are not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition, state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA review process at the time of offer acceptance.
Base Pay:
  • $250,000
  • May be considered for a discretionary bonus
