Engineering Senior Manager
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Manager - Network Tools & Services within the Network Services organization. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the strategy, development, and operational management of network tooling platforms that support observability, automation, and service assurance across the enterprise network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will lead a team focused on the lifecycle of network-related applications and tools - including installation, maintenance, modernization, and decommissioning - while ensuring compliance, data hygiene, and integration across platforms.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and develop teams of individual contributors and managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk maintaining the enterprise network
- Collaborate with network engineers and Information Technology Team to design and implement the company's network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the Network Engineering function
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
- Manage network, delegate tasks and ensure networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of network
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Network Engineering team to meet moderate to high risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for Network Engineering functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
- Create and implement network security measures
- Develop a backup disaster recovery plan for a network emergency
- Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including managers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Network Engineering
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

- 6+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Deep technical knowledge of network observability platforms and data integration strategies across multi-vendor environments.
- Experience designing and building robust data pipelines that unify telemetry and operational data from diverse sources into a single, scalable architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with tools and technologies such as Splunk, Grafana, Kafka, and other observability and data streaming platforms.
- Strong understanding of application lifecycle management including compliance, vulnerability management, patching, certification, and operational hygiene.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving data publishing, platform integration, and enterprise-wide observability strategies.
- Familiarity with modeling and metadata management practices to support unified data views and operational insights.
