About this role:

Wells Fargo seeks a Global Head of Operational Excellence in Corporate & Investment Banking Lending Operations (CIBLO), supporting the firm's fastest-growing business. As this growth accelerates, so does the need to support our businesses and partners.

The new CIBLO team aims to provide CIB with a primary entry point for lending support and improve coordination across front, middle, and back-office processes. This role, and new group, supports our 2025 priority of Operational Excellence by fostering a culture of efficiency across the value stream.

  • Utilizing extensive knowledge of operational capabilities within the financial services industry to lead planning efforts and mobilize teams for effective execution of business strategy.
  • Ensuring alignment with Operations strategy and transformation initiatives, while overseeing ongoing execution with sponsorship, advocacy, awareness, and support from executive leadership.
  • Establishing critical collaboration with the Business Process Management leader to ensure successful delivery of BPM activities and process automation.
  • Providing dedicated and centralized focus to drive the transformation of CIB Lending Operations, ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives, optimization of end-to-end processes, enhanced effectiveness and efficiency, operational excellence, and a strong risk culture.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of financial services industry experience
  • 5+ years leading transformation
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or process design
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner, collaborate, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including line of business and functional leaders in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Capable of executing large, intricate initiatives within a corporate structure.
  • Skilled in a partnership approach to responsibilities, effectively leading (directly or indirectly) initiatives across various lines of business, peers, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Proactive thinker regarding business and issues.
  • Strong track record of delivering results, including effective project and initiative management, execution, and sound decision-making in relation to complex problems.
  • Exceptional analytical and data management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proven experience presenting solutions to Operating Committee executives.
