Corporate Banking at Wells Fargo is part of the Banking division within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) segment. Our Corporate Banking business supports large corporate clients across various industries with traditional banking products and capital markets solutions.

About Corporate Banking Senior Lead Analyst (VP) role

The Corporate Banking Senior Lead Analyst will collaborate closely with the CFO of Corporate Banking to support the business through financial analysis and strategic advisory. This role involves managing the financial reporting for the Corporate Bank and driving both loan and deposit forecasting. Responsibilities also include analyzing the capital position for our CIB Banking business and leading various capital management workstreams. The Corporate Banking CFO team works closely with the Head of Corporate Banking, the Head of Capital & Portfolio Management, and the Head of Fund Finance. Additionally, this team partners with leaders across Investment Banking, Global Payments & Liquidity, and Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial reporting, forecasting, and research to support management decision-making
  • Lead loan and deposit forecasting process as well as capital analysis for CIB Banking business
  • Provide strategic advisory to senior executives in the Banking division with a focus on Corporate Banking
  • Research strategies and make recommendations for forward financial planning
  • Create succinct, professional presentations to drive strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of finance experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Essbase
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed and fast-paced environment
  • Intellectually curious and a self-starter
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Capital Management or Treasury
  • Understanding of U.S. banking regulatory capital rules and requirements
  • Advanced degree, CFA charter, or CPA
  • Ability to synthesize data and make recommendations to senior leaders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating presentations via PowerPoint and presenting to senior leaders
