About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a motivated Control Management Specialist with specialized skills and experience in Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management execution and support. This role will support the National Branch Network within CSBB Branch Banking, so experience with Banking Operations experience is preferred.

In this role, you will:

• Participate in mitigating current and emerging risk exposures associated with the activities and operations of the assigned business group, and identify opportunity for process improvements within the scope of defined business control responsibilities
• Review and analyze basic business challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
• Develop and implement risk monitoring, risk reporting processes, and controls while evaluating and reporting results where necessary
• Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing Control Management functional area expertise
• Provide support in the interpretation of policy, guidelines, and governance programs as front-line liaison to Independent Risk Management area
• Collaborate and consult with Control Management team and key stakeholders, including internal customers

• 2+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• RCSA Methodology Experience - Experience or participation in Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) methodologies.
• Issue Management Expertise - Experience with issue management activities, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and monitoring.
• Analytical Skills - strong skills in analyzing data, analyzing risk, reporting.
• Risk & Control Knowledge - In-depth knowledge of identifying risks and implementing effective controls.
• Banking Services Support - Experience supporting consumer and small business banking services, including notary services, handling SCRA requests, and interacting with legal order servers.
• Branch Operations Proficiency - Knowledge or experience with branch banker operations such as preparing wire transfers, processing stop payments, and maintaining customer information and privacy preferences.
• Business Problem Solving - Ability to quickly grasp complex business issues, recommend solutions, and drive resolution.
• Policy & Control Understanding - Strong understanding of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure effective risk mitigation controls are in place.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate effectively with other business and functional areas.
• Influence & Communication Skills - Strong execution, influencing, and communication skills.
• Matrixed Environment Navigation - Ability to understand and operate successfully within a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment

• Hybrid work schedule. Must be able to work from one of the approved job posting locations three (3) days in office & two (2) days remote.
