The group includes Home Lending, Auto, Credit Cards & Merchant Services, Personal Lending & Retail, Consumer Lending Control, and Consumer Lending Shared Services.

The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking the Head of Consumer Lending Operational Excellence who will lead a team of process engineers and intelligent automation professionals to deliver quality, high-impact projects. They will be responsible for process modeling and documentation in support of RCSA for Consumer Lending businesses, as well as using BPM standards, analytics, and intelligent automation to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, this strategic leader will work cross functionally across the organization. Key stakeholder engagement will include: partnering with Finance to identify opportunities to improve operating leverage and measuring those benefits after the improvements are implemented; working with the Control teams to analyze risk and control environment for effective risk management; partnering with Technology teams to analyze workflows and implement improvements.

Position Objectives:
  • Drive projects aligned to CL Strategy to enable well-managed growth and operating efficiency.
  • Improve operating leverage (profitability): reduce unnecessary friction and non-value add activitie
  • Lead process and control optimization initiatives, to simplify control environment and reduce operational risk
  • Champion automation and AI to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Control to align goals and performance targets that drive business impact for Consumer Lending
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in process improvement, operational efficiency, ROI and project benefit financial analysis.
  • Proven experience in collaborating across teams and lines of business within large organizations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong change management and leadership focus
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and anecdotal feedback to structure complex problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving and execution skills; insight and ability to proactively identify opportunities to innovate and improve the business
  • Exceptional people leadership, relationship development and negotiating skills; ability to earn respect and trust among internal and external business partners and teams
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
