Business Intelligence Developer
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer for the Chief Technology Office (CTO) Data & Analytics team. This position is an advanced subject matter expert responsible for databases, visualizations and data analytics work that support technology infrastructure goals and promote data driven business decisions within the technology infrastructure environment. You will play a critical role as a team lead who applies extensive hands-on experience with databases, ETL tools, reporting, coding, and data analytics to drive the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of robust business intelligence systems and data visualization strategies. Specifically, you will build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, identify current data gaps, leverage available analytics tools and programming languages to mine available data and deliver analytic findings, and strategize with the team to create solutions with a robust focus on automation, scalability, and action-oriented intelligence. This position requires a candidate that will effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high pressure enterprise environment using Agile methodologies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead highly complex initiatives including build, test, debug, and implementation efforts
- Conduct advanced data analysis on highly complex design algorithms and interpret data from various sources that directly contribute to the improvement of Technology products
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure enterprise environment using Agile methodology and practices
- Leverage business intelligence tools to create clear results and reports that tell a compelling story to empower product teams to make data driven decisions through actionable metrics
- Exercise independent judgment while also developing proficient understanding of supported technology, security and compliance requirements
- Create test data and conduct unit and incremental testing
- Champion and support other team members by increasing efficiency, removing blockers, escalating issues, and helping to mentor and grow fellow team members
- Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications
- Consult and collaborate with internal business partners such as product management, technical leads, systems operations, and service and support organizations that own the data and/or product
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, refine work, organize and size efforts to accomplish within work limits and actively resolve or escalate anti-patterns or behaviors that don't align with product and agile execution

- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of experience creating visual reports with Power BI
- 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
- 3+ years of developing and using Application Program Interface (API)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Expertise with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
- BS degree or higher in science or technology
- Advanced understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) methods: unit, load, system, user acceptance, and regression
- Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
- Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration
- Microsoft Fabric experience
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
- This position has a hybrid work schedule
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
