About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the development and delivery of the Archer based tool Enterprise Business Testing Platform (EBTP), a strategic solution supporting the Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) team. As the Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of EBTP. This platform is a cohesive system that automates the full lifecycle of testing and validation processes. It includes capabilities for annual planning, test preparation and execution, issue management and validation, resource and capacity planning, system and data integration, and reporting through dashboards. You will lead a team of developers and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional technology teams including business analysts and quality assurance. Your role will be essential in ensuring technical alignment with enterprise standards, driving delivery excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

In this role, you will:
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced engineers and engineering managers in roles with moderate complexity and risk, responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technology
- Ensure adherence to the Solution Delivery Life Cycle to build and promote changes to the platform
- Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture, for example cloud readiness, application modernization, data strategy
- Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards
- Determine appropriate strategies and actions to act as an escalation partner for the teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement
- Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed
- Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk
- Collaborate with, partner with, and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineering
- Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development to have the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for product areas and products to meet business objectives and strategy, as well as conduct performance management for engineers and managers
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- 4+ years of Archer experience, including solution design and building applications, workflows, data feeds, and access models
- 4+ years working in an Agile environment with tools such as Jira and experience in collaborating with product managers, product owners and end users.
- 4+ year of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts and practices
- 4+ years of experience presenting solutions to complex problems to stakeholders, leadership, and senior executive levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive innovative solutions and resolve technical roadblocks
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to partner and engage stakeholders
- Good project management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
