Staff Accountant II
Overview
This role will apply intermediate accounting knowledge to support financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance activities. Role will support additional work that will be transitioned to the Corporate Accounting Team.
Responsibilities
Assist with the monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for accrued expenses, prepaid assets, payroll, fringe, and tracking of cash transactions.
Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across accounts
Maintaining intercompany accounts and coordinating payments with subsidiaries in accordance with Corporate Treasury policy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support internal & external auditors during audit reviews.

Focused on process improvement and makes recommendations for improving the organization's accounting operations.
Ensure SOX documentation is up to date and followed for areas of responsibility.
Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across accounts
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
Ad-hoc responsibilities as required
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
1 to 3 years of accounting experience

· Solid understanding and application of accounting principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
· Problem solving skills in order to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
· Analytical skills to collect, summarize and interpret financial results.

· The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Self-starter able to work under general direction.
· High degree of computer literacy with accounting enterprise software and Microsoft applications.
