Overview
We are seeking a Sr Principal Commercial Manager to join our Bioseparations Portfolio in a field-based position to formulate, lead and execute our global field enablement projects, strategic customer engagements, and Waters Division wide marketing initiatives with inputs and impact on our long-term growth strategies. This senior role will directly report to the Portfolio Owner of Bioseparations to continue strengthening our market position through winning key accounts and expanding the reach and effectiveness of both our marketing and sales organizations. The successful candidate will lead high-visibility initiatives across departments and shape the future of Bioseparations by pushing the boundaries of the use of Waters chemical and biological tools for the purification, characterization and quantification of biomolecules.

Responsibilities
- Formulate, lead, and execute a global sales enablement program for the bioseparations portfolio.
- Plan and implement tactics to win strategically significant customer accounts.
- Serve as the point person for interdepartmental strategic marketing initiatives working across other business units and organizations to drive portfolio synergies and drive market share growth.
- Assist our biopharma and genetic medicine consumables product management teams with high priority go-to-market strategies, executive and investor-level messaging, and commercial execution plans.
- Act as a key advisor on aspects of commercial leadership inclusive of reporting on market trends, aligning product roadmaps, and delivering on long range revenue goals.
- Analyze industry trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes to shape data-driven commercial strategies.
- Develop executive-level insights, reports, and strategic recommendations. Oversee high impact strategic partnerships and internal investment projects.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree with 10+ years in sales, commercial strategy, strategic marketing, and/or product management, preferably in bioseparations, biopharma, or life sciences.
- Proven track record of building and executing both near term and long-term commercial strategies that drive business growth.
- Strong ability to influence, lead, and align teams across multiple departments to drive strategic initiatives through to increasingly effective customer engagements and marketing activities.
- Deep understanding of bioprocessing, chromatography, and bioseparations trends, with experience in customer-centric marketing approaches and insights-based selling.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information and present clear, actionable insights to customers, teammates and senior leadership alike.
- Amenability to up to 50% time allocation per month for travel obligations related to head quarters planning activities, regional offices events, industry tradeshows and customers visits.
