Overview
Waters is seeking an Assembler Specialist to join our New Product Introduction team. This individual will perform complex electro-mechanical and/or optical assembly in a fast-paced new product development environment. This role provides opportunity to contribute to daily production requirements in both an individual and team capacity, complete subassembly and test functions to support product build and analysis during new product introductions and engagement with the department team analyzing and determining corrective actions for problems associated with HPLC instruments, systems or manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
- Assembly and test of electro-mechanical devices per production schedules and in alignment with quality goals.
- Assist with troubleshooting of problems associated with systems, instruments, modules, sub-assemblies, processes, tooling, and/or materials.
- Assist in determining and initiating the corrective action for problems identified in instruments, assemblies, processes, tooling, and material.
- Provide training to department personnel for assembly, test and operation of new or existing instrument, equipment, or processes.
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering to processes and/or assembly documentation
- Assist in transferring new products, assemblies, equipment and processes from New Product Introduction into long term production areas.

Qualifications
- High School education, vocational/technical background a plus
- 2 years minimum experience or equivalent in an electro-mechanical assembly and test environment preferred
- Ability to read/understand mechanical drawings and follow written procedures
- Understand proper use of common hand tools (ex, drivers, torque wrenches, punches, presses, cutters, etc.)
- Basic understanding of working within the Microsoft Windows Environment (i.e. Navigation and using applications)
