Your New Role...

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee and optimize end-to-end ecommerce stock and logistics operations across owned platforms and third-party marketplaces in Japan.
This includes managing inventory accuracy, ensuring timely product availability for customers, and driving operational excellence through close collaboration with global teams, local retail and customer service functions, and external logistics partners.
The role also plays a key part in leveraging data and analytics to inform demand planning, improve fulfillment efficiency, and deliver a seamless customer experience aligned with global standards.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Ecommerce Stock & Logistics Management

  • Plan, manage, and execute inventory levels across owned Ecommerce platforms and 3rd party marketplaces, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate timely deliveries of new product launches to each distribution location.
  • Collaborate with external logistics partners and the in-house Contact Center team to closely monitor order status and ensure smooth and timely customer deliveries.
  • Lead stock-taking processes in partnership with the Global Team and external logistics providers, ensuring inventory reconciliation across internal frontend/backend systems and external warehouse management systems.
  • Manage and execute backend and frontend system operations to ensure smooth order flow-from warehouse dispatch to customer delivery-working closely with the Global Team.
  • Partner with the Global Team and external vendors to design and implement best-in-class packaging and fulfillment processes that enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements in order fulfillment, returns, and logistics workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with the Global Team to ensure rapid resolution of system or process issues.


Analytics & Reporting
  • Use analytical tools to monitor weekly ecommerce performance, including sales, product sell-through rates, and stock cover, ensuring stock levels remain optimal.
  • Generate and share regular reports with key stakeholders, providing insights to guide business decisions.
  • Support demand planning and promotional activities by analyzing sales trends and inventory turnover.

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work with local retail team, customer service, and global ecommerce teams to align on campaign readiness, product launches, and customer service enhancements.
  • Act as a bridge between local teams and the Global HQ to ensure alignment of operational processes and standards.


Qualifications & Experiences...
  • Proven experience supporting or managing ecommerce operations (stock management, logistics, or fulfillment).
  • IT literate, with experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ecommerce backend platforms (e.g., Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills for working effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Language proficiency:
    • Japanese - Fluent
    • English - Business level


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE DESIRED
  • Retail market experience is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
