Your New Role...

Being a key member of the Marketing & Communications Team of Warner Bros. Studio & Retail that include Warner Bros. Studio Tokyo - The Making of Harry Potter and the new Harry Potter shop in Harajuku which is scheduled to open this summer. The role will manage all day-to-day marketing & Communications needs across all departments including Visitor Experience, Retail, Trade and Education to positively contribute to achieving business and marketing & Communications objectives towards the Tour's long-term business with sustainable growth after a successful opening.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Planning and execution of PR/Communications strategies

  • Develop and implement PR/Communications strategies with the Director of Marketing & Communications and Senior Manager of PR & Communications
  • Plan and execute press activities such as seasonal press preview, press conferences, press appointments to maximize the publicity
  • Work with marketing team, PR agency, press and other cross-functional WBSTT teams to deliver the objective of activities and campaigns
  • Plan WBSTT content/editorial strategies to drive highly engaging contents
  • Develop press release, press materials and other PR and communication content based on the strategies

Media relation/Crisis Communication/local community relations

  • Manage day-to-day media inquiries with PR agency
  • Necessary negotiation, coordination and arrangement to get media exposure
  • Maintain strong relationship with media to drive constant coverage
  • Work closely with the PR & Communications Senior Manager on crisis communication and local community relations

Day-to-day tasks of PR team

  • Assist all administrative tasks raised within PR team including Purchases Orders, Invoices, Expenses claims, goods receipts, contracts and deliveries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Handle and update of all documents for PR team including forms, reports, presentation decks, meeting notes and email drafts etc.
  • To ensure general administrative work is accurate and up-to-date and being handled on a timely manner

Proofreading

  • Proof texts related to the tour assets for external communication
  • Draft text-based output internally and externally

Internal reporting

  • Track and develop PR reports on media coverage or PR metrics
  • Manage and update calendars and media lists
  • Ensure the post-campaign analysis are produced for reviewing results and sharing learnings for better future activities planning

Work well with the team

  • Be a team player and maintain a good working relationship with everyone involved in the Tour business including all teams of the Tour, other WBD divisions, external partners and agencies
  • Support any marketing events (internal and external, consumer and trade), when required

Qualifications and Experiences...

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Journalism and Public Relations, or a similar field
  • Established media contacts is plus
  • Strong knowledge of regional media, online and social media community is plus
  • Experience in Marketing/ Entertainment/ Leisure/ Attractions/ Tourism business will be an advantage
  • Experience and success in working in a dynamic or start-up environment

Skills

  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills which includes a well-developed aptitude for grammar and style
  • Excellent communication in Japanese and Business level or above English
  • Experience of working with strong/ well-established brands will be preferred
  • Strong concept of Branding
  • Experience on crisis management
  • Good working knowledge of PR concepts and best practices
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to details with punctuality
  • Able to perform in a high-pressure/time-sensitive environment
  • Action-oriented, proactive in communicating with employees and a team player
  • Quick learner and self-starter, resourceful and would take ownership
  • Skilled in Power Point, Excel, Word
  • Flexible when work hours as at times, the role will require working during non-office hours such as evenings, Weekends and public holidays
