Your New Role...
The Global Fraud & Abuse Program Manager is a key member of the Global Fraud and Abuse Operations team who will guide the Fraud and Abuse strategies for WBD Brands. As a Program Manager, Fraud Management, you will play a critical role in participating in the evolution and development of WBD's strategy for fraud and abuse mitigation strategies across our brands. This includes creating a secure and trusted consumer experience both domestically and internationally.

You will help manage and evolve the processes and controls used to prevent, detect, and mitigate fraudulent payment activity, abusive account behavior and we maintain a safe and seamless customer experience. A few of the key risk areas you will focus on are developing strategies to improve our payment risk footprint, ensuring that payments are seamless and safe, maintaining regulatory compliance, and preventing illicit, abusive, and unwanted account access. You will work closely many of WBD's online and offline brands including Max, Discovery+, DC Universe Infinite, and the Harry Potter Studio Tours while partnering with WBD's Information Security, Product, Payment, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure that consumer fraud prevention strategies are honed and refined as the market landscape evolves.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Be the voice and advocate of WBD's brands to protect them and our customers from fraudulent and abusive behavior through the strategic implementation of tools, controls, and processes.

• Participate in the creation of global business requirements definition identification of product/technology solutions and implementation of a robust and scalable global fraud program for WBD's Brands.

• Contribute to the development and safeguarding of payment and authentication ecosystem and preserving our customer trust through; identifying, researching, and implementing fraud risk management strategies that reduce false positives, improve encourage subscriber retention/growth, and minimizing friction whenever possible.

• Be the eyes and ears in payment and authentication space, remain current on emerging fraud risk trends and advancements in preventative measures and innovations to manage risk.

• Work with Business Intelligence and Operations Teams to identify opportunities to prevent and mitigate evergreen and emerging fraud trends.

• Partner with global and regional WBD business & legal teams to understand market/regional challenges and regulations with respect to fraud.

• Participate with Engineering teams to identify technical and product solutions, as well as help inform product roadmaps with fraud enhancements

• Support the go-to-market process and interact with technical developers to translate product requirements into technical specifications

• Aid in the ongoing development and tuning of both in-house and 3rd party fraud vendor solutions

Qualifications and Experiences...
• Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, information systems or related fields.

• 2-4 years of experience working in fraud risk management, preferably within a media or subscription company.

• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of technical and non-technical staff.

• Able to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion. 


• Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and problem resolution in a cross-functional team.

• Able to drive the definition of project scope, develop detailed project plans, and facilitate the collection of engineering, operational, and business requirements.

• Strong understanding of development methodologies including waterfall and agile.

• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

• Able to clearly, concisely, and regularly communicate status, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.

• Able to function effectively and consistently when faced with frequently changing and sometimes ambiguous goals.

• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

• Understanding of fraud and security as it relates to digital products & subscription services, and the threats associated with account takeovers, account compromise, and other high risk account behaviors.
