Your New Role
The VP, Corporate Relations & Events will serve as a key senior leader on the Global Communications Team, responsible for shaping and executing Discovery Global's corporate event, hospitality and engagement strategy as well as strategic stakeholder relations. Reporting directly to the Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing the vision and execution of corporate events both internally and externally, with broader relationship-building initiatives to enhance Discovery's reputation, influence, and connectivity across global markets.
The Corporate Relations and Events team will help shape how Discovery engages with key audiences - including employees, partners and industry leaders - through immersive experiences, strategic communications and strategic hospitality programs. The role requires close collaboration and partnership across nearly every sector of the enterprise, including executive leadership, communications, marketing, and cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives that reflect Discovery's brand, values, and business priorities.
The ideal candidate is a high-level strategist with operational expertise and a global mindset, capable of leading a high-performing team, managing complex stakeholder relationships, and delivering world-class experiences that drive business impact.
Your Role Accountabilities
Set the Strategic Vision
- Develop and lead a unified strategy for corporate relations and events aligned with Discovery's brand, business goals, and cultural initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on stakeholder engagement, event positioning, and audience experience.
Corporate Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, including industry partners, government entities, and internal leadership.
- Lead initiatives that enhance Discovery's corporate reputation and influence, including thought leadership forums, strategic partnerships, and executive engagements.
Event Strategy & Execution
- Oversee the full lifecycle of global corporate events - from ideation and planning to execution and post-event analysis.
- Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all events, including leadership summits, shareholder meetings, employee engagements, and industry showcases.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage budgets and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective planning and delivery of high-quality experiences.
- Negotiate contracts and partnerships that support strategic objectives and operational excellence.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across corporate relations and events, fostering innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Build organizational capability in experiential strategy, stakeholder engagement, and event production.

- Stay ahead of industry trends in experiential marketing, stakeholder engagement, and event technology.
- Establish KPIs and feedback mechanisms to measure success and continuously improve strategy and execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in corporate relations, event strategy, and stakeholder engagement within a global organization.
- Proven track record overseeing large-scale, high-profile corporate events with C-suite and senior stakeholder involvement.
- Strong creative vision with operational discipline and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multimillion-dollar budgets and deliver measurable ROI.
- Skilled in vendor negotiation and relationship management, with deep networks in event design, production, and experiential marketing.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to align event strategy to organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with executive presence and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
- Deep understanding of emerging trends in corporate engagement and experiential design.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and pivot quickly when business needs change.
- Willingness to travel globally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications in Corporate Communications, Event Management, or Experiential Marketing preferred.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $209,300.00 - $388,700.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
