We are seeking an exceptional Vice President Engineering, Converged AdTech and Linear Systems to establish and lead our India Technology Center as a strategic technology delivery hub for Warner Bros. Discovery's global AdTech operations. This senior technology leadership role is designed for a visionary engineering leader who will build world-class technology capabilities to support our global converged advertising platform initiatives across Linear TV and Digital, Affiliate and Scheduling ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will establish India as a center of excellence for AdTech and Linear Systems transformation engineering, driving innovation, operational support for global teams, and technical excellence while delivering mission-critical technology solutions to our global product teams. This role requires a leader capable of scaling high-performing engineering organizations while maintaining the highest standards of quality, security, and performance for enterprise-grade advertising technology platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Architecture - Define and execute comprehensive technology strategy for global AdTech platforms, establishing architectural standards and technical roadmaps for converged linear-digital advertising solutions
- Engineering Leadership & Scaling - Build, lead, and scale world-class engineering teams (200+ engineers) across multiple technology stacks including backend systems, data platforms, real-time bidding, and analytics infrastructure
- Global Delivery Excellence - Own end-to-end delivery of technology solutions for global markets, ensuring 99.9% uptime, scalability to handle millions of ad requests, and seamless integration across platforms
- Platform Development & Innovation - Drive development of next-generation converged AdTech platforms, including programmatic advertising, audience targeting, real-time analytics, and cross-platform campaign management
- Technical Operations & DevOps - Establish robust DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and security frameworks to support global 24/7 operations across multiple regions
- Cross-functional Collaboration - Partner with global product management, data science, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Data Engineering & Data Science - Lead development of large-scale data platforms, real-time streaming systems, and advanced analytics capabilities to process billions of advertising data points daily
- Quality & Performance Optimization - Implement comprehensive testing frameworks, performance optimization strategies, and continuous improvement processes to maintain enterprise-grade service levels
- Vendor & Technology Partnerships - Manage strategic technology partnerships with cloud providers, AdTech vendors, and platform integrators to enhance capabilities and reduce time-to-market

Experience and Qualifications
- Senior Technology Leadership - 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience with 8+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (VP/SVP level) managing large-scale distributed systems
- AdTech Expertise - Deep technical expertise in advertising technology platforms, including Linear systems, programmatic advertising, real-time bidding (RTB), demand-side platforms (DSP), supply-side platforms (SSP), and ad serving technologies
- Large-Scale Systems Architecture - Proven experience designing and building high-throughput, low-latency systems capable of handling millions of transactions per second with global distribution
- Team Building & Scaling - Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations of 150+ engineers across multiple disciplines including backend, frontend, data engineering, DevOps, and QA
- Global Delivery Experience - Experience leading technology delivery for global organizations with multi-region deployments, 24/7 operations, and diverse stakeholder management
- Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise - Advanced expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), microservices architecture, containerization, and modern infrastructure-as-code practices
- Data Platform Leadership - Strong background in big data technologies, real-time streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), data warehousing, and analytics platforms handling petabyte-scale datasets
- Agile & DevOps Excellence - Deep experience implementing agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous deployment strategies
- Technology Stack Proficiency - Hands-on expertise with modern technology stacks including Java/Python/Go, Node.js, React, Kubernetes, distributed databases, and messaging systems
- Security & Compliance - Strong understanding of enterprise security practices, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and compliance frameworks for advertising technology
- Executive Communication - Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to C-suite executives and global stakeholders
- Educational Foundation - MS/MTech in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field from premier institution
- Media & Entertainment Background - Previous experience with media companies, broadcasters, or entertainment technology platforms is preferred but not required
- Startup to Scale Experience - Experience building technology platforms from startup phase through enterprise scale is preferred but not required
