Your New Role...

We're looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead high-impact, cross-functional programs that power the delivery of world-class sports experiences to millions of fans globally. Based in Amsterdam, you'll be at the heart of our most strategic initiatives, driving complex technical programs across product, engineering, operations, and editorial teams. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a passion for sports and technology, and can orchestrate large-scale program execution with precision and influence.

Your Role Accountabilities...

• Program Leadership: Drive end-to-end delivery of major sporting events and product roadmaps across multiple teams and systems. Lead strategic initiatives with high complexity and visibility.

• Execution Excellence: Align programs with organizational goals, manage interdependencies, and deliver highimpact results. Use data to assess performance and continuously improve delivery processes.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and ensure successful outcomes across editorial, product, tech, and business units.

• Technical Oversight: Own critical cross-team deliverables, especially during peak event periods. Identify and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies proactively.

• Process Optimization: Introduce scalable processes and eliminate inefficiencies. Lead post-event retrospectives and apply insights to improve future executions.

• Communication & Influence: Communicate clearly across all levels-from engineers to executives. Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence product direction and technical decisions.

• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor Senior TPMs and junior team members. Provide input on team development and foster a culture of inclusion, growth, and excellence.

• Optional People Management: If applicable, manage a small team of TPMs, guiding their professional development and performance.

Qualifications & Experience...

• Experience: 9-12 years of program management experience in technology-focused roles, ideally in live sports streaming or digital media.

• Technical Acumen: Strong technical background, preferably with experience in software engineering or architecture. Familiarity with Agile, CI/CD, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Suite.

• Problem Solving: Proven ability to manage complex programs, resolve technical challenges, and make strategic trade-offs under pressure.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience writing technical design docs, executive reports, and retrospectives.

• Passion for Sports: A genuine interest in sports and delivering exceptional fan experiences through technology.
