Job Role
As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of technical programs for major sporting events across Warner Bros Discovery's streaming & publishing platforms. This position is instrumental in managing end-to-end technology solutions, integrating various backend video & metadata systems to customer-facing applications across web, mobile, and connected TV digital platforms.

Responsibilities
Oversee technical program management of major sporting event deliveries and product roadmaps across diverse teams including Delivery, Product, Technology, Operations, Editorial, and Business to ensure successful customer outcomes.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to align strategic priorities, technical deliverables, and operations.
• Develop robust program plans that synchronize diverse teams and manage multiple interdependencies effectively.
• Provide hands-on management of critical cross-team technical deliverables and operational tasks, especially during peak periods leading up to sporting events.
• Manage technical risks and lead resolution paths for issues impacting event success, ensuring clear ownership and timely action.
• Drive continuous improvement through post-event retrospectives and data-driven insights.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, securing commitments and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Anticipate and manage project bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make strategic trade-offs to enhance execution.
• Own all phases of project delivery, from concept to production, establishing project charters, managing communications, overseeing development and deployment, and performing retrospective assessments.

Qualifications and Experience
• Passion for sports and digital technology platforms.
• Bachelor's degree with 10-13 years of program management experience in technology-focused roles.
• Extensive experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Suite.
• Proven track record of delivering medium to large scale projects, ideally with a focus on live sports streaming or related digital products.
• Strong technical background preferably with experience as a software engineer or in a technical architecture role.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to translate technical language for non-technical stakeholders.
