Your New Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Privacy Technology function, driving the development and implementation of innovative privacy solutions across our organization. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, a passion for privacy, and a proven track record of building and scaling privacy-first technologies in complex environments.
You will oversee multiple privacy tech teams, set the privacy technology vision, and ensure alignment with legal, compliance, and business objectives. The role collaborates closely with engineering, legal, product, and business stakeholders
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop privacy technology manager and their team.
- Define and execute the privacy technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, etc.) and organizational goals.
- Champion privacy-by-design principles and foster a culture of ethical data use and innovation.
- Set and monitor success metrics for privacy technology initiatives.
Technical Oversight
- Oversee the architecture, development, and deployment of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs), consent management systems, data minimization tools, and automation for data subject rights.
- Guide integration of privacy features into digital platforms, including streaming, publishing, and advertising systems.
- Ensure robust data inventory, mapping, lineage, and cataloging practices.
- Evaluate and implement AI/LLM solutions for privacy automation and unstructured data analysis.
- Oversee development and integration of APIs to support privacy features and data interoperability.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Present privacy technology strategies, progress, and impact to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party privacy solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze performance of privacy technology processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Stay abreast of emerging privacy technologies, regulations, and industry trends.
- Promote professional development and growth within the privacy tech organization.
Qualifications & Experiences:
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, privacy engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams or managers.
- Proven experience architecting and delivering privacy-first solutions at scale.
- Deep understanding of global privacy regulations and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, NIST, etc.).
- Strong technical background in modern programming languages (Node.js, Python, Java), cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), and data lake architectures.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs for privacy-related systems and services.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in media, entertainment, or technology industries.
- Certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/E, CDPSE, or similar.
- Experience with AI/LLMs and automation for privacy compliance.
- Track record of driving diversity, equity, and inclusion in technical teams.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
