The Job

As a Sr. Analyst, Player Insights, on the WB Games Market Intelligence & Insights team, you'll help deepen our understanding of player behavior, game performance, and the broader gaming landscape. You'll support the execution of research studies and data analysis that inform product strategy, marketing decisions, and portfolio planning across our released and upcoming games.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about games, curious about players, and eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Daily

  • Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of primary research studies including surveys, focus groups, and secondary data reviews.
  • Support the development of research materials such as questionnaires, discussion guides, and stimuli.
  • Clean, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data using Excel and other tools.
  • Help synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights and contribute to the development of presentations, dashboards, and reports.
  • Monitor syndicated and industry sources to support ongoing research efforts and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of research outputs.
  • Maintain research documentation and contribute to the organization of central research tools and resources.

The Essentials

  • 2+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or a related function in the games industry.
  • Extensive experience with quantitative and qualitative research, including focus groups, online communities, and surveys, with strong expertise in at least one method.
  • Experience synthesizing and sharing research findings and presenting recommendations to product leadership.
  • Familiarity with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Toluna Start) and basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
  • Familiarity with basic statistical methods for data analysis (regressions, correlations, factor analyses)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A curious mindset and enthusiasm for learning about players, games, and entertainment trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

The Nice to Haves

  • Experience managing market research vendors.
  • Experience working across Game Dev and Product Marketing teams.
  • Experience conducting research for mobile games.
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar across database systems.
  • Personal experience (as a player) across a variety of game genres, including those in which WB Games has released titles.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,525.00 - $130,975.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
