Your New Role:
As part of the integrated Business Objects (BO) shared services support team, this role will be responsible for Business Objects administration related shared services across the enterprise with diverse data sources such as SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, AWS Redshift, and others. This role will deploy and support integration and onboarding of business applications into a shared multi-tenant global Business Objects environment while enforcing Information Security standards and policies on all deployed objects and platform. This role will coordinate directly with systems, software engineers and architects to implement solution designs in a large complex worldwide enterprise.

Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining BO architecture documentation, administration, upgrade and patching support.


  • Maintaining prompt remediation to BO-related Info-Security threats and vulnerabilities


  • Providing guidance, recommendations, and enforcing consistent policies for design and development of system connectivity and architecture, Information Design Tool, universes, and reports for new and existing tenant applications integrating into the shared global BO environment.


  • Interacts with other internal departments such as database administrators, infrastructure and networking, web technologies, identity management, and outside consultants to deliver scalable and highly effective analytic solutions


  • Promotion of reports/universes/users along with security settings from lower to higher-level environments following Change Management processes.


  • Installing and configuring client connectivity to different databases like SAP HANA, IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, AWS Redshift


  • Design and implement security by creating user groups, granting access to BO based applications to users and adding security restrictions (application level, folder level, and object level) based on user profile and user groups.


  • Create access levels (Developer, Reporter, Viewer, etc.) based on project and business needs.


  • Tracking, troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of End User incidents and tickets; resolves customer issues within the service level agreements


  • Participates in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 5- 7 years in BO Administration of Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform to include the latest 4.3 software version.


  • Three (3) or more years total experience supporting enterprise-class applications in a significant engineering and/or system administrative role.


  • Experience with BO-AWS Cloud-based connectivity and integration points.


  • Experience with integrating BO with multiple SAP-based platforms (ECC; BW; CRM; S/4 HANA; BW/4 HANA; SCM; GRC; Fiori and SAP Portal; etc)


  • Experience with Windows Server OS, Windows Security, Firewalls, and Networking


  • Experience with Oracle, DB2 and other enterprise-level databases.


  • Proficient in promotion management, version management, creating/modifying universes using IDT, and the creation and troubleshooting of Crystal reports, WebI reports and SAP Analysis for MS Office.


  • Experience with BO audit reports, audit universe and the BO metadata model


  • Experience with application integrations utilizing the BO SDK.


  • Experience with Web Application Server Design and Development using Apache Tomcat


  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of taking solution ownership


  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical parties


  • Ability to provide clear communication to senior management on issue identification and resolution


  • Leverage business knowledge and understanding to translate complex business analysis and reporting requirements into technical designs


  • The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively


  • Understanding of SAP applications and its functionalities is an added advantage.


  • Must be able to pay close attention to complex detail and understand written and oral instructions.


  • Must be able to organize and schedule work effectively.


  • Must be able to work well under time constraints.


  • Willingness to learn new technologies at an accelerated pace


  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities, communicating changes in scope and schedule to all parties concerned.


  • Must be service-oriented.


  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-motivation, commitment, and integrity


  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, when necessary.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • Corporate Information Security and/or Cyber Security certification


  • SAP BO Administrator and/other certifications


  • Knowledge of Entertainment Industry and business applications is an added advantage


  • Experience with Amazon Web Services


  • Experience with authentication applications such as OKTA, Windows Active Directory, and Single Sign On


  • Oral/Written fluency in Other Non-English languages
