Your New Role...
WB Games NY is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Graphics. This role will collaborate in the envisioning, designing, and building of a wide variety of enterprise-level game development tools, pipelines, and services. The problem space ranges the gamut of games technology and will require an engineer with an exceptional ability to learn.
Critically, the role also requires an engineer who has passion for helping others achieve and is prepared to drive this through innovation and development to fill needs, such as shared technology or inter-studio communication platforms. Collaboration and co-development with the many WB Games studios will be a routine part of the role, giving exposure to the many tools and technologies developed around WB Games.
Your Role Accountabilities...
- Collaborate with production, engineering, design, and art teams to identify and define feature requirements and contribute to the graphics technology roadmap
- Research, develop, implement, and document performant solutions for high-quality rendering in AAA, real-time graphics
- Perform CPU and GPU performance profiling and optimization on all supported platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers in designs and code and architecture reviews
Qualifications & Experience...
- 6+ years of experience working in the game industry or related field
- Strong development experience with Unreal is required
- Understanding of computer architecture, CPUs, GPUs, multithreading, and memory systems on all relevant platforms
- Strong understanding of rendering pipelines and industry graphics APIs
- Demonstrated experience with development, deployment, and debugging on consoles
- Ability to code and optimize C/C++ and shader code (HLSL or similar)
- Strong demonstrated debugging skills on both CPU and GPU
- Strong background in 3D math, linear programming, and computational geometry
- Ability to work in environments with challenging problems and ambiguous requirements
- Ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate expressed needs into engineering requirements
- Strong fundamentals in Computer Science and Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience
The Nice to Haves
- Experience leading technical projects or as a lead engineer
- Experience in and passion for real-time graphics and games development
- Familiarity with PBR and ray-tracing

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $99,750.00 - $185,250.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
