Meet Our Team:
Our Advertising Technology team is on a mission to revolutionize the advertising landscape by delivering a cutting-edge, global ad platform. Our focus is on optimizing content monetization and enhancing user experiences across various platforms. We specialize in delivering video ads for both on-demand and live streams, catering to a wide range of direct-to-consumer services as well as non-owned-and-operated third-party and vMVPD platforms.
Roles & Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior DevOps Engineer. As Senior DevOps engineer you will be playing an important role in our DevOps team. You will be developing new features and writing scripts for automation using Perl/Python/Groovy/Java/Bash.
- Automate everything, including scaling, monitoring, and operations.
- Deploy and manage tools to enable self-service both within the DevOps team itself as well as across all of SSAI AdTech engineering teams.
- Design, build, and support SSAI AdTech cloud infrastructure (AWS) using automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Develop strong relationships with engineers, managers, and other colleagues based on trust, empathy, and technical expertise.
- Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
- Overseeing routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.
What To Bring:
- 5+ years of experience working in cloud production environments like AWS and GCP
- Strong scripting experience with bash and any other general programming language like Python
- Experience with Configurations of web servers including Nginx, message queuing systems (Redis, Kafka)
- Expertise in troubleshooting very complex distributed environments, including following stack traces back to code and come up with a good root cause.
- Experience creating and working with containers, as well as using container orchestration tools (Google Anthos, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
- Experience using configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools to build, deploy and integrate both infrastructure and applications (Terraform, Cloud-formation, Pulumi)
- Fundamental knowledge in networking, operating systems, and package build system
- Experience supporting relational or no-SQL databases, messages busses, caching services, and other common service components.
- Familiarity with common monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD and testing platforms ( Jenkins CircleCI Armory Spinnaker)
- Experience with SCM (Git, Github Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with IP networking concepts such as VPN, DNS, load balancers, firewalling.
