Discovery introduced Max, an enhanced streaming platform, in the U.S. HBO Max is currently available in 46 countries and there are plans for the continued global expansion of Max in 2024.

Your New Role...

We are looking for a passionate and driven Product Manager to join the DTC Targeting & Monetization team. This team member will report to the Sr. Director of Product, Targeting & Monetization. The ideal candidate is customer obsessed, collaborative, and data driven. They will be a highly effective communicator and can build trust with all areas of the business. This role will be working cross-functionally within the Global Product & Design organization across multiple product verticals, engineering, legal, advertising, and marketing with a focus on audience targeting and compliance to drive monetization across all our DTC products and brands (including Max, Discovery+, and CNN).

The Targeting & Monetization space is where compliance and business outcome intersect. This vertical will have impact and influence on the future success of the ad-supported streaming business through evaluating effectiveness of our approach to revenue optimization. Additionally, this role will be responsible for any compliance obligations that power our monetization capabilities, impact on the customer experience, identifying new areas for opportunity, assessing the competitive landscape, and reading out on strategic initiatives and the health of the business overall.

We value passionate product management that drives with discipline and attention to detail. The person in this role will be defining scalable solutions that integrate across WBD's DTC platforms supporting a wide range of product clients, data use cases, and business platforms. The candidate will be motivated to dive deep into the rapidly evolving tech landscape, rapidly changing regulatory environment, and legal nuances across multiple global regions where we operate.

They will manage a product strategy and roadmap with at least a 12-month horizon. They must be comfortable regularly engaging with executive leadership to effectively communicate product line strategy and secure alignment on product roadmap priorities. The role requires someone who can work autonomously, has strong organizational and analytical skills, and is a proven collaborator and problem solver.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Define the strategy and roadmap for audience targeting and monetization across all Direct-To-Consumer products and brands including but not limited to: Audience Targeting & Measurement, User Privacy Rights & Consent, Data Governance & Handling, Business Enablement.
  • Evaluate the efficiency & effectiveness of our audience targeting capabilities to support the overall ad strategy, partnering with stakeholders to identify new areas of opportunity for enhancement.
  • Ensure targeting and measurement capabilities are operating optimally, identifying and troubleshooting areas of inconsistency and raising risk Partner with peer Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Program Managers to identify, evaluate, and integrate 1st and 3rd party strategic technical solutions.
  • Gather, define, and clearly document requirements.
  • Share requirements across multiple stakeholder groups, receive feedback, and weigh it against the overall product strategy to make appropriate decisions toward requirements refinement.
  • Leverage research and competitive analysis, anchored by the broader company and product strategy, to prioritize features across a diverse set of high priority initiatives using a systematic, measurable approach.
  • Operate well in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge, drill into business data and research results to identify clear direction and focus.
  • Define and manage metrics and objectives that clearly identify when a feature or solution is working and successful.
  • Drive ongoing leadership and internal stakeholder communications (including Brand, Advertising, Marketing, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, etc.) as the product line interface while differentiating appropriately between public and internal messaging.
  • Build healthy, trusting relationships and contribute to a culture of respect by giving feedback respectfully, exchanging ideas openly, and receiving feedback humbly.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience within a technology or digital organization.
  • Strong knowledge in privacy or compliance within a consumer facing product.
  • 2+ yrs experience in digital ads ecosystem and how it drives revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on documentation that communicates complex subject matter simply and clearly.
  • Experience developing data-driven roadmaps and product strategy.
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams on highly complex projects.
  • Formal and informal presentation skills in small and large group settings.
  • Detail-oriented; self-starter, accountable, and empowered.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
  • Prior experience working within portfolio management systems (ex: JIRA, Confluence, Asana) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $95,550.00 - $177,450.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
