Your New Role...

Reporting to the VP Marketing, Sports, Networks & Streaming UK, the Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for devising, planning and executing marketing in line with the marketing strategy and business goals. They will support the SVP and VP Marketing UK as well as the EMEA Streaming team on the UK launch of HBO Max and ongoing brand and content campaigns.

The role demands close collaboration with wider teams including marketing, publicity, social, growth and partnerships, product and merchandising to ensure that we have fully integrated campaigns to promote the incredible wealth of quality content available on HBO Max. The role also requires knowledge of HBO TV and Warner Bros. film content to promote the incredible wealth of premium quality content available on HBO Max.

The HBO Max Brand and Content Marketing team in the UK will consist of the Senior Marketing Manager - and reporting into that role will be a Marketing Manager and a Marketing Executive.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Formulation, planning and senior management of marketing activity across HBO Max key brand and content drumbeats.
  • Deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end, engaging and compelling 360 marketing launch campaign for HBO Max with the utmost standout in-market.
  • Work on multiple campaigns through the year for outstanding, best in class HBO content and pay 1 movies - translating global plans into locally resonant campaigns to attract and engage UK audiences.
  • Work collaboratively and in lock-step with the Publicity team on all brand and content launches, activations, events and initiatives.
  • Effectively represent the UK market on cross-functional task forces around key content titles.
  • Inspire and deliver exceptional creative through the in-house team, external agencies and other sources, both centrally and locally based.
  • Work closely and be highly adept at dealing with our external media agency, with the ability to work on full funnel plans across a hybrid internal and external media buying approach.
  • Work collaboratively and in lock-step with the Publicity team on all brand and content launches, activations, events and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Growth and Partnerships team to ensure effective lower funnel campaigns and partnership collateral is based on and infused with upper funnel creative.
  • Work alongside the Trade marketing team to ensure advertising and sponsorship revenues as well as organic support via partners are maximised and output is consistent.
  • Input into the production of sales materials including reels and events.
  • Work in lockstep with the social team to ensure seamless cross promotion of our marketing campaigns through HBO Max organic socials.
  • Along with the VP Marketing, ensure effective stakeholder management of the senior local and global teams.
  • Prepare exemplary campaign decks and reports as needed for the VP Marketing and wider business.
  • Work closely with the Sports Marketing team to ensure total cohesion of the TNT Sports offering on HBO Max.
  • Work with the local and central research functions to set KPIs and OKRs for campaigns and closely monitor brand tracker data. Attend presentations and meetings with research functions.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance and Procurement to ensure campaigns meet guidelines.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, working closely with the central team. Prepare reports and commentaries as required.
  • Act as a brand custodian for HBO Max and WBD's Studios and Streaming business.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Highly experienced marketer with a proven track record in broadcast marketing and a specialism in streaming marketing. Having worked at a Streamer or on premium scripted content is advantageous.
  • Understands, appreciates and is/can become a passionate expert on HBO content.
  • Ability to think and operate strategically.
  • Significant experience of full funnel marketing across multiple internal departments and external agencies.
  • Experienced at running high budget marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with, manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture, understand strategic goals and operate in an environment of constant change.
  • Strong understanding of brands and how to manage brand performance.
  • Excellent, succinct writing and communication skills.
  • Gravitas and experience of dealing effectively with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, the ability to read a room.
  • Excellent presentation skills, unfazed by presenting to large groups.
  • Strong understanding of research techniques and metrics and the ability to put the relevant target audience at the heart of all communications.
  • Keen attention to detail, with the ability to ensure the pin-point accuracy of all marketing communications output.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
