Filmbankmedia is a leader in non-theatrical film distribution, representing many major Hollywood, Bollywood, and independent film studios (including Warner Bros. Discovery, Sony Pictures, Disney, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate and many more) in over 80 international territories.
Filmbankmedia provides licensing for film screenings that take place outside of the cinema and home in environments such as outdoor screenings, community cinemas, film clubs, hotels, hospitals, coaches, trains, schools, pubs, bars, care homes, and more.
Filmbankmedia operates in the UK and internationally. It is based in London but has new business representatives based in the LATAM and SEA regions
Your new role...
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Full-Stack Developer to help build and maintain our multi-language, multi-territory website and licensing system.
Working closely with the Principal Software Architect, you will contribute to the design and development of both front-end and back-end systems, integrations with third-party platforms (e.g. CRM, ERP, labs, payment gateways), and ensure high performance, scalability, and security across the platform.
Your role accountabilities...
- Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of our digital platform using modern frameworks and languages.
- Collaborate with the software architect to implement the architectural vision, translating high-level designs into practical code.
- Build and integrate APIs and third-party services (e.g., Finance and CRM system, Lab, online payment providers).
- Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Work within Agile development cycles, participating in sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and reliability.
- Maintain and evolve database schemas and data access logic as required.
- Stay updated on modern technologies and frameworks and propose ways to improve our tech stack.
Qualifications & Experience...
- Professional experience in full-stack development.
- Proficiency with front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Strong experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, PHP or similar.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership.
- Experience working on media, content licensing, or digital rights management platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with internationalization (i18n) and localization best practices is desirable.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization would be beneficial.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
