General Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic individual to join our team in the position of Research Manager, specifically dedicated to the Czechia region. This is an entry-level role that requires close collaboration with the CEE & MENAT research team, where the primary focus will be on providing specialized support for local market activities and within the CEE & MENAT region in the WBD portfolio.

As a Research Manager, your key responsibilities will involve collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data regarding television audience viewership in Czechia. We are looking for an ideal candidate who has a strong background in data analysis, a significant understanding of the television industry, and the ability to extract actionable insights from audience measurement data.

In this position, you will play a critical role in shaping strategies for our portfolio, thereby contributing to its overall success. Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Processing:

  • Play a pivotal role in the research function under the guidance of the Research Lead, assuming both regular and ad-hoc responsibilities, particularly with a primary focus on Czechia.
  • Execute data retrieval using our primary research tools, with a preference for proficiency in Techedge (which would be an advantage), tailored to the specific needs and nuances of the Czech market.

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Analyse television viewership trends, patterns, and demographics.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to assess audience engagement.
  • Segment television audiences based on demographic, geographic, and behavioural criteria.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to understand the preferences and viewing habits of different audience segments.
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing & PR teams, programming, affiliate/distribution, and ad sales, in Czechia, to align audience measurement strategies with business objectives.

Industry Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, changes in viewer behavior, and emerging technologies affecting TV audience measurement.
  • Leverage local market knowledge to map relevant sources, providing valuable insights specific to the Czechia market.
  • Provide insights on how industry developments may impact our audience measurement strategies.

Requirements:

  • min. bachelor's degree in marketing, sociology, social sciences, or mathematics/statistics field
  • Czech language native or fluency, English fluency
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the television or media industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably in the television or media industry.
  • Familiarity with TV audience measurement tools and methodologies.
  • Interest in television entertainment and the media industry
  • Very good knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
  • Presentation & communication skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to come up with innovative ideas.
  • Fast learner & eager to expand channels.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Team player & honest- able to take responsibility for its own actions.
