Your New Role...

As Principal Engineer of Critical Power Systems Engineering, you'll lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle strategy of high-availability electrical infrastructure across Warner Bros. Discovery's technical facilities. This role is central to ensuring resilient, scalable, and efficient power systems that support our global content operations, including post-production, broadcast, and digital platforms.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Drive the end-to-end implementation of critical power systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and associated infrastructure.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering efforts for new builds, retrofits, and system upgrades across data centers, production hubs, and technical facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver projects that meet performance, reliability, and sustainability goals.
  • Develop and enforce engineering standards, commissioning protocols, and operational best practices for power systems.
  • Manage capital planning, vendor selection, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning through robust power infrastructure strategies.
  • Mentor and lead a team of engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experiences...

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (PE preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in mission-critical facility engineering, with deep expertise in power systems design and implementation.
  • 7+ years in a leadership role managing complex infrastructure projects and technical teams.
  • Proven track record with high-availability environments such as data centers, broadcast facilities, or enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems including UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, CRAC units, and power distribution.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other infrastructure modeling tools.
  • Experience in media, entertainment, or technology sectors.
