Your New Role:

Post Operations International (POI) prepares material for languaging and playout in our international regions by ensuring the materials include all elements needed for international reversionsing, and then facilitating edits for the programs based on regional clocks and cultural sensitivities. In addition, POI provides regional fulfillment support as add'l. program materials are needed for reversioning / other global platforms.

The Manager position within POI is responsible for working closely with the Regional Content, Onboarding & Programming teams to help move quarterly premieres through the post production, edit reversion and languaging processes, as well as oversee daily operations across the Post Ops Int'l team.

Your Role Accountabilities:

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Act as POC for Post Ops International regarding Regional compliance edit needs
  • Research delivery dates for all premieres, manage internal tracking grids & provide updates to Programming for scheduling guidance
  • Interact daily with Regional Content teams concerning the status of current projects, program timelines and edit priorities
  • Lead and guide POI team on prioritizing workload, edit fixes/replacements, clock formatting and special edit projects
  • Update expected material delivery dates and program status details in shared regional trackers and systems (Duplo, Smart Sheet, Weeks Out Reports)
  • Manage daily workloads and growth of direct reports
  • Communicate with Regional teams regarding technical or content issues; provide possible options and solutions.
  • Liaise with US Network Producers & DNI Content team concerning timelines, technical requirements and legal replacements.
  • Provide operational processes expertise to the Regions as needed. % Time Spent on The Daily XX%
  • Support Regional Onboarding teams regarding Int'l Acquisitions- advise on delivery issues, TE results and technical requirements
  • Reconcile monthly transcription vendor invoices
  • Perform other research/analysis and special projects as needed or assigned.
  • This position is considered an essential position. This means that during times of inclement weather, emergencies, or when access to the workplace may be impeded, that employees in this position are expected to report to work to support business continuance, unless otherwise instructed by his/her direct manager.

Qualifications & Experiences:
  • Proficiency in Business Speaking English required
  • Experience leading an initiative and team as a manager or supervisor with the ability to mentor, develop, motivate, delegate, and initiate change
  • Work experience within the media/tech industry required.
  • 5+ years' experience with post production, broadcast operations, and/or log operations highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, television, film, media, logistics, or operations highly preferred.
  • Solid technical background with knowledge and understanding of multiple media platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of post-production environment, standards, and equipment preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects and tasks.
  • Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
  • Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite to include: Word, Excel, Outlook etc., & comparable systems
  • If internal candidate, experience using WBDs Internal Systems (i.e. MediaFlex, DEAL) highly preferred.
